Join our pilot as a stakeholder and join us in Brussels on October 08th, 2014

 The Technical Secretariat responsible for the development of the Product Environmental Footprint Category Rules (PEFCRs) for packed water cordially invites you to join our pilot as a stakeholder to be informed of all the latest developments and to provide valuable feedback. We would also like to ask you if it would be possible to forward this invitation to your members?

 The following organisations make up the Technical Secretariat: the European Federation of Bottled Waters (EFBW), the European Container Glass Federation (FEVE), PETCORE Europe, Union Européenne des Transporteurs Routiers (UETR), Danone Waters, Ferrarelle, Nestlé Waters, Spadel and Quantis.

 Why participate?

·       The final PEFCRs developed will become the product rules used by all stakeholders in the sector that measure the performance of their products based on Product Environmental Footprint (PEF) methodology

·       Get access to all relevant information and documents (e.g., the draft PEFCR document)

·       As an official stakeholder, you can provide feedback throughout the development of the packed water PEFCRs

 How to become an official stakeholder?

Follow these three easy steps:

1.      Create an ECAS account

a.  Go to https://webgate.ec.europa.eu/fpfis/wikis

b.  Select the domain 'External'

c.  Select ‘Not registered yet’ to create a new account

d.  Fill out the form and click ‘Sign up’

e.  You will receive an e-mail to validate your account; you have 1h30min to do so.

2.      Access the wiki space

a.  Go to https://webgate.ec.europa.eu/fpfis/wikis/display/EUENVFP/EU+Environmental+Footprint+Pilot+Phase

b.  Log in with your ECAS account

3.      Access the packed water pilot workspace

a.  Click on 'Packed water' (in the second column of the table on the main page)

b.  Fill out and submit the survey at the bottom of the page

c.  Access will be granted within one working day

 

What are we up to?

The first draft of the scope and representative product document will be posted online by September 24th, 2014 – two weeks before our first physical consultation. All stakeholders are invited to make comments on the draft.

·       Date: October 08th, 2014

·       Time: 9:00-13:00   

·       Location: Danone Waters Division, Rue Jules Cockx, 6, Brussels. (Please note that the venue does not have parking facilities. Those arriving by car are advised to seek a parking space in the surrounding streets. If you are travelling by public transport, the nearest metro stop is “Beaulieu”).
